If it makes you feel any better, I accidentally flipped into the pilot of Scandal last night. The TV told me it was going to be a Castle rerun, I swear.
I only stuck around for like ten minutes, but it was the most offensive thing I've seen in a while. HE'S A HERO, HE CAN'T BE GAY. HOW COULD HE RESPECT THE MILITARY UNIFORM IF HE ADMITTED HE WAS GAY TO PEOPLE? (Sad fact: actual dialogue from show, when they tell the guy that maybe he should admit he was having gay sex at the time the lady he was accused of murdering was murdered).
Then the secretary that the President (like, of the United States, seriously, dead horse) had an affair with is threatening to come forward, so the heroine confronts her, on solely the word of the President, and not like, any evidence or investigating, and tells her her career is over and she's a dirty liar and she's had sex with other people in her life, and her mother is in a mental institution, and basically, WHO DO YOU THINK THE AMERICAN PUBLIC WILL BELIEVE, THE PRESIDENT OR THE SLUT WITH A CRAZY MOM? And that her career in Washington is over, and she should go live a miserable life elsewhere. And then tells her brand new assistant that she was brought along to testify in court that she "didn't threaten or blackmail" the lady. And then, when the secretary shows up at her office to say, what the fuck was that, she gets all indignant and says YOU CAN'T BE HERE THIS IS MY OFFICE, HOW DARE YOU SHOW UP AT MY OFFICE, and that's basically when I flipped to something different in rage.

(Sorry for ranting all over your perfectly justifiable anger, but it kind of pissed me off, and I was looking for an excuse to vent.)

BACK ON TOPIC. I think Hollywood just hates Wonder Woman. All female superheroes, but mostly Wonder Woman.
