Donna > Everyone
I'm finally (like, for the first time in ever) caught up on Doctor Who. Yay, me :) Also, clearly Donna is the most awesomest ever, Y/Y?
I think my favourite episode was probably The Unicorn and the Wasp (Eee! Reverend Green in the library with the lead piping!), though I also loved The Fires of Pompeii and Midnight.
re. The Fires of Pompeii: I totally ship Quintus/Evelina. Also, my bit of personal canon is that the god figures of the Doctor and Donna continue to be passed down (at least for some time); in some legends they appear as brother and sister, and in others as husband and wife.
re. The Poison Sky: "Are you my mummy?" God, the Doctor cracks himself up, doesn't he? As
talumin pointed out, it's just the sort of thing a Doctor Who fan would do when presented with a gas mask, and that's exactly what he is sometimes.
re. The Doctor's Daughter: Look, David, I know Georgia Moffett is very pretty and you'd like to shag her. But you really, really shouldn't look at her like that when you're supposed to be playing her father. No, really.
Also, apparently when Martha cries, I cry. Damn it. I mean, I always knew she was awesome and I loved her, but when did she become my Martha?
re. Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead: I'm torn about these episodes, really. I loved Donna's storyline in FotD, however little there was of it; if she never runs into Lee again, I'll be crushed. I'm just not sold on River Song, though. I'm not sure if it's because the actress didn't do much for me, or because I didn't think she had extraordinary chemistry with the Doctor, or because I was waiting for some kind of explanation (her being someone we've met before, in the new or classic series, or there being more to her than it appeared/her not being exactly what she claimed) other than, "Ooh, isn't she super sparkly? She has the Doctor's screwdriver! She knows his real name! She's the specialist companion ever!" but I feel like I'm still waiting for something to show me why she's special/why her relationship with the Doctor is different/why I should care, rather than simply telling me. Or maybe it's just shipper jealousy, but I loved Reinette, so I don't really think that's it. I really did like Miss Evangelista, though.
