I watched Valentine.

Valentine: 1-1 Pilot

I love Autumn Reeser, and I love Miss Match, so Valetine seemed like it could be a perfect fit for me. Cross A Midsummer Night's Dream with Miss Match, and you've got ... not this show. Actually, I think my biggest problem with it is shippy - I ship Danny/Phoebe, and I'm pretty sure the show is going to ship Danny/Kate. And I don't dislike Kate, but I don't love her, either. Really, I blame the writing, which kind of failed at the whole gateway character thing; instead of starting off with Kate, and showing how she gets sucked into the whole matchmaking-with-the-gods thing, it started us off in the Valentine household before introducing Kate near the end, which kind of makes her feel like an intruder rather than our POV character. (Is it wrong not to watch a show on the basis of shipping preferences? What if the show is essentially a series of hour-long romantic comedies?)

I don't know. I may give it a couple more episodes, because it seems like it could be fun, but so far, it isn't wowing me. The couple in the pilot should have appealed to me - I liked him, I liked her, I liked their dynamic - but I think the execution kind of let it down. I mean, did she really have to propose? I know they had great sex (once) and they're BFF and all, but, maybe date for a month?
