Rookie Blue: Quarantine!
So, I watched Monster.
THINGS I THOUGHT WERE REALLY GREAT:
Gail!!!!! ♥ She was so adorable in this episode. Freaking out about smallpox! And locking herself in Frank's office and her face, her pout when she was talking to Chris was so fantastic. And Chris and Gail, being ridiculously cute - he would probably still date her if she looked gross! AND THEN HE MADE HER BREAK HER QUARANTINE, AND THEY HAD AMAZING MAKEOUTS.
Also, Chris going back undercover! Pretending to be a drunk hustler! IF HE ROBBED A BANK HE WOULD BUY A PUPPY, I'M JUST SAYING.
Sam and Andy. Okay, so I probably ship them the least of all the people I know who watch this show (yes, all four of you), but I still think they're pretty great. Laughing and sparring and HEADPHONES and stealing Jo's hand cream, I just want them to be this cute all the time.
Poker! Jerry losing and Oliver being amazing as always and Andy blowing them all away with her poker talk. I wish there were a million episodes like this just so we could see more of that.
Luke being drunk and scruffy. Haha, is it wrong that I think I like him even more now?
JERRY AND TRACI, ALWAYS. I like it when they're together, I like it when they make out, I like it when they're on my screen.
THINGS THAT MAYBE COULD HAVE BEEN GREATER:
SHOW, THERE WAS A SERIOUS LACK OF PEOPLE ON THE OUTSIDE FREAKING OUT ABOUT THEIR LOVED ONES BEING QUARANTINED AND UNREACHABLE AND POSSIBLY IN DANGER. Especially from Dov, I'm just saying. His best friend and the woman he's secretly in love with were locked in there, and all we get is his cute date with the bomb squad tech? HE IS NOT EXACTLY THE MOST CALM OR LEVEL-HEADED GUY, SO WHAT IS UP WITH THAT. Still, his date with the bomb squad tech was pretty cute, and if it keeps him preoccupied so my OT3 stays alive, I'm cool with that.
(Side note: Seriously, I just want to be able to ship everything I ship in my head and for canon not to screw that up, it is not a huge ask. And maybe for Dov/Gail to be able to happen in a way that doesn't mess up their friendships or break Chris' heart, which is a slightly bigger ask, and while I'm at it, a canon OT3 would be nice. But I'd settle for canon not messing with the happy place in my head.)
I'm not sure how I felt about Frank and Noelle - they were super cute at first! And then he freaked out about the baby thing, which maybe was not broached in the most subtle way possible, and - can they go back to being cute now? I liked that.
IN CONCLUSION: A+ episode, and now I want all the quarantine fics in the world. Can we get on that, please?
