rarewomen Dear Author Letter
First of all: You are writing me an awesome fic about one or more awesome women I love, so thank you! If you prefer working with fewer details, or you already have an idea in mind, then go with whatever you like - I love all these women so much, and I am sure to love your story. Personally, I love getting as many details and options as possible, so with that in mind, I have provided some!
Things I love: Banter, unresolved (and resolved) sexual tension, romantic comedy, plotty fic, action/adventure, wacky hijinks, humour, crack, tropes and clichés, PWPs, apocafic, and ridiculous AUs. Characters who are genuinely really into each other, as friends or as ~more than that. All the fandoms I've requested are fun, ridiculous Disney/Nickelodeon shows about teenagers, so, clearly I like stuff like that?
Things I don't love: Angst, character bashing; for this particular ficathon, I'd prefer no dark themes in general.
Sonny With a Chance (Sonny Monroe, Tawni Hart)
What I would love, love, love is Sonny/Tawni. I love the humour and wacky hijinks of the show, and the way Tawni tries to pretend pretend she and Sonny aren't best friends but they actually totally are, and the way even the show acknowledges they're going to be together forever. But gen is totally awesome also; more than anything, I'd love a story with Tawni and Sonny (and any other characters you'd like to include) being awesome together, but anything with either one of them would be fantastic.
Things I love about this show: That time Sonny and Tawni went to Glendovia. That time they all had a walkathon and Tawni's jeans put everybody in the hospital. That time they went to the retirement home and Tawni totally acknowledged that she and Sonny are going to be ~together forever. Nico and Grady. Chad Dylan Cooper and his stupid-ass face. MACKENZIE FALLS. Most of all, I love the Sonny and Tawni, and the relationship between them, whether you ship them or just see them asgrudging friends. Gen and femslash are both awesome, and if you really want to write het, I actually do enjoy Chad and Sonny in canon.
Big Time Rush (Katie Knight, Camille, Lucy)
I love everyone on this show, but Katie is my very favourite. I'd love anything at all with her being awesome and generally owning everybody, set during the show or in the future. I also really love Camille and Lucy - I love Camille's craziness, and her method acting, and the way she absolutely is not shy about going after whatever she wants (especially when that something is Logan), and I love Lucy's whole rocker chick thing and the way she makes Kendall's head explode and the way she fits in with the other characters but brings an interesting outside perspective to things. I'd prefer het or gen, and I adore ensemble fic, so please feel free to include as many other characters as you like.
Katie Knight is more awesome than you, basically. I love her interactions with everybody, but especially the four boys. And Dak Zevon. And Russell Brand(!). Basically, as long as Katie is being awesome and saving the day, I'm sold. (And if you're writing future fic and wanted to ship her with somebody, I am actually totally okay with that? Especially if it's Dak, but the other boys work for me too. Or they could just be her awesome big brothers, which I also love.) And Camille is obviously super great; I love her relationship with Logan the most, especially all the times they make out, and super especially when it kept happening even after they broke up. (And even though Logan/Camille is my OTP - if you wanted to pair her up with someone else, I do have a soft spot for James/Camille. Or James and Camille being bros.) And I've loved Lucy since - actually, ever since before she was on the show, because I knew she was going to be played by Malese Jow and I love Malese Jow. I also really liked it when she made everyone play truth or dare. And every time she interacts with Kendall, whether you see her as a potential love interest or not. (For what it's worth, I dig the idea of them together.) Really, I would love absolutely anything here, het or gen or ensemble fic, and bonus points for extra ridiculousness.
Victorious (Jade West)
Jade, and her relationship with Beck in particular, is hands down my favourite thing about the show. (Although: Cat is a close second, so if you wanted to include her being super adorable, I would not object.) What I'd love more than anything is Beck/Jade, but I'd also love ensemble fic or something that has Jade interacting with pretty much anyone - if femslash is more your thing, I'm also open to Jade/Cat or Jade/Tori. Again, I love the humour and ridiculousness of the show, but really, anything with Jade would be amazing.
Jade! <3 <3 I just want to draw big pink sparkly love hearts all around her name, mostly because I know she would hate that. I want absolutely anything here as long as Jade is at the centre of it. Obviously, Beck/Jade is my OTP - and if you're into that, I wrote (a lot) more about them in my yuletide letter - but I also enjoy Jade/Cat and Jade/Tori, and gen is 100% okay. Basically, I enjoy it when Jade is mean to people, but in a fun way, and when she's actually friends with people, and when she tries to deny actually being friends with people. And any time she interacts with Beck ever. And the massive amount of gay subtext, which I don't see as being incompatible.
