As far as tricks vs treats go, my likes/prompts lean more towards the light and fluffy end, but I'd be happy to receive something horror or Halloween-themed as long as it's not super dark (depending on the fandom - in general, I most enjoy fics that feel similar to canon in tone, if not in content). Also, while some of my prompts are Halloween-specific, please don't feel you have to give a 'themed' fic - I would be 100% thrilled to read anything about any of these fandoms.

General vid things I love: Ensemble vids. Character studies. Fun shippy vids. Vids that highlight some of my favourite things about the source. Vids that point out something I never noticed in the source. Vids that give me chills. Vids that make me cry. Vids that make me laugh. Vids that make me clap my hands in glee. Vids that use music I love, and music that's completely new to me, and music that obviously goes with that source, and that I never would have through to pair with the source but works surprisingly well. In general: I love ensemble fics, banter, makeouts, unresolved (and resolved) sexual tension, romantic comedy, action/adventure, wacky hijinks, humour, crack, PWPs, apocafic, and ridiculous AUs. I'm not super into angst, and I prefer fics where characters interact with people and do things over introspective character studies. I really, really, love tropes and clichés, and totally ridiculous, over the top plots, the more shameless the better. I love first times, and secret relationships, and casual hookups, and ex-girlfriends and boyfriends, and rekindling old relationships. I love people being in love without having to say it, and people who are obviously in love but maybe don't realise it, and ridiculously overblown romantic gestures where one person completely embarrasses themselves, and small gestures that mean a whole lot more than they seem to. Most of all, I love characters who are genuinely really into each other. I'm happy to read any rating, and smut is welcome but absolutely not necessary. (Though if you're writing for Shipswap, please do have the characters actually hook up in some way in the story. Makeouts = <3).

Also I watched Monte Carlo, which isn't a DCOM but does star Selena Gomez, so it doesn't really count as branching out. But it did remind me I think I have some half-finished Selena Gomez/Leighton Meester fic stashed in a drawer somewhere, and I'm trying (unsuccessfully, but still) to finish off some WIPs this, IDK, year, so maybe I'll try to find that and dust it off. Or something.

And I watched two more episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place, which means I only have the finale to go! I'M JUST NOT READY OKAY, I WILL WATCH IT EVENTUALLY BUT YOU CAN'T RUSH THESE THINGS.

Ugh, this is all cashewdani's fault. And a little bit pirateygoodness's fault. YOU CAN'T JUST COME IN AND START TALKING ABOUT DISNEY FANDOM AGAIN LIKE IT'S NBD, I'm not even sure I ever managed to leave the fandom in the first place (IT'S STILL MY MOOD THEME, FOREVER FAVOURITE) AND YOU KNOW HOW IT MAKES ME FEEL THINGS.

Like: I just rewatched the Wizards of Waverly Place movie and it gave me a super embarrassing number of feelings. No, wait, ~FEELINGS. Especially since the show ended(!) and the competition happened for real(!!!!), even though I don't actually know how that went because I still haven't watched the last three episodes, ugh, I just am not ready for it to be over (see above re: not actually having left the fandom - there may not be much of it left any more, but I'll always have my campfire scene to keep me warm).

It's like the perfect storm of things I love, basically SELENA GOMEZ + BIG TIME RUSH + SUPER RIDICULOUSNESS = I can't even hate it on account of Justin Bieber, whatever, I guess I have made peace with Selena's terrible boyfriend choices. (Also, I totally did not notice until now that that video was actually posted by Carlos Pena, ugh, why do I love them and their stupid-ass faces so much. Also, desire to write a WOWP/BTR crossover: rising.)
