Festivids 2012
Dear festividder,
Thank you so much for making a vid for me! I'm sure it will be amazing no matter what you choose to do, so if you already have an idea in mind, go for it! I would really love any kind of vid in any of these fandoms, so don't let any of my requests restrict you - they're there to be helpful if you want them and ignored if you don't. Really, what I want most is for you to have fun with this, so do whatever makes you happy, and I'm sure I'll love the finished product!
Things I love in general: Ensemble vids. Character studies. Fun shippy vids. Vids that highlight some of my favourite things about the source. Vids that point out something I never noticed in the source. Vids that give me chills. Vids that make me cry. Vids that make me laugh. Vids that make me clap my hands in glee. Vids that use music I love, and music that's completely new to me, and music that obviously goes with that source, and that I never would have through to pair with the source but works surprisingly well. Basically, I just really love vids.

Avalon High
Details: I love this movie, probably an unhealthy amount. And I'd be thrilled with any kind of vid - something fun that highlights the ridiculous Disney aspects, a serious character study, a more thematic vid that examines how the movie fits into Arthurian mythology, anything at all.
BRITT ROBERTSON AND HER FACE <3 <3 <3, basically. I love her a lot. I love crappy Disney Channel movies (though I maintain this one isn't actually crappy), and I really, really love the whole genderbent aspect. Girls in armour = all my kinks, apparently. I also have a huge thing for remixes of mythology, fairy tales, etc. in general, so - I guess what I'm saying is that there are a lot of reasons I love this movie, so a vid about anything at all would seriously make me the super happiest.
Big Time Rush
Details: I love this show - I love the four guys, and the way they're a team, always; I love Katie, who is one day going to take over the world (and is probably already halfway there); I love Camille, and the way she's totally unabashedly crazy, and her relationship with Logan; I love Lucy, and the way she unwittingly gets sucked into all the crazy hijinks going on around her. A vid about any, or all, of these things would totally make my day.
Stupid boys and their stupid faces + wacky hijinks + a healthy dose of crack = amazingness. Any vid about these things = double amazingness. I pretty much listed most of the things I love about the show, but most of what I love about the show is ALL THE THINGS, so you could vid any of those things (including the movie, if you're so inclined), and I would love it.
Doom
Details: This is the zombie space horror video game adaptation movie of my heart, which - there's probably not a lot of competition there? But regardless, I love this movie a lot. I would really, really love something focused on John and Sam and their relationship plus hey there's also zombies here, what, but I would also love anything else you choose to vid.
Okay, so my love of this movie is probably less about it being a zombie space horror movie than it is about John and Sam and the relationship between them and the way it's totally (intentionally) framed as a love story (because, seriously, watch the first ten minutes and tell me we're not supposed to believe she's his ex), and everything that comes along with that, and the (totally not at all metaphorical) monsters, but I also pretty much just love the whole movie, so you could vid any aspect of it and that would be amazing.
Dragon Wars: D-War
Details: Firstly: If you have actually seen this movie (and liked it enough to want to make a vid), I think I love you. Secondly: Crack, please? As long as it's not a 100% serious vid (just a pinch of crack would be fine), I'd be thrilled with anything.
Okay, so, it's probably fairly obvious that I don't take this movie seriously at all? (If you've ever seen it, you will understand this.) This super amazing picspam sums up pretty much all my feelings about D-War (WHICH, REALLY: IT IS CALLED D-WAR), which basically boil down to IT IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS EVER AND I <3 IT. (Also, if you've never seen it, YOU SHOULD WATCH THIS MOVIE. But check out the picspam first.)
Heartbreak High
Details: Okay, so, if you actually offered this (or are considering vidding it), we need to be friends. I love everything about this show, from the social commentary to the teen drama to the who's who of Australian television, so I would be beyond thrilled with any vid, ever. Period. Exploring racism and Greek culture in 90's Melbourne? The plight of students and teachers at badly funded public high schools? Jodie and her music career? Nick and his really excellent face? Other characters and their ... things they did? Please, I would love all of that, as well as anything else you could possibly vid.
EARLY NINETIES SHOW OF MY HEART <3. I know my optional details mostly focused on the early years of the show, but that's mostly because a) those are the seasons currently out on DVD (seasons 1-3 right now, though later seasons are available via ~other means), and b) that's what I've rewatched recently, so it's what I currently remember most about the show. But I am 100% serious when I say that you could vid me anything, about anyone, and I would love it to pieces, because there is literally nothing about this show I would not adore.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King
Details: Chloe! <3 I love her a lot; I really love the way her first reaction to having superpowers was genuine excitement, and the way she consistently has fun with them, even when her life is in danger. (Which is always, really, so what's a girl to do?) I'd love any kind of vid for this, so feel free to surprise me!
I requested this last year based on having only seen the pilot, and it turns out my instincts were pretty good, because I adore this show. I love the premise of the show, find Chloe really endearing, and still think there are a lot of vidding possibilities here - it's got action, mythology, plot arcs, romance, backstory, awesome superhero girls - vid me any of that, or all of it, or none of it, and I'll dig the hell out of it.
Unnatural History
Details: The thing I love most about this show is Henry, and I'd adore a vid about him. For me, it's all about the crazy adventures, thrilling heroics, and inadvisable antics, both in America and while travelling with his parents, so a vid that highlighted those things would be super amazing.
If I could have had a show all about the crazy, stupid things Henry did while adventuring overseas, I would have eaten it up with a spoon. But I also love the adventures he had on the show itself (and, of course, in flashbacks), and something that highlighted the similarities (and differences) there would, just as an example, be really really great. Also maybe something about that time Ellen Wong was in an episode, I really dug that.
Wizards Of Waverly Place
Details: I really, really love just about everything about this show. I love Alex, and the relationship between her and Justin (romantic or not, depending on if that's your thing - it's mine, but this is definitely a case of YMMV), and Max, who I find consistently delightful, and pretty much every single supporting character ever, so - I would love anything ever, using the show and/or movie, because it's basically my favourite.
This show is one of my favourites ever, and not in an ironic way because it's on Disney Channel. (Which - given some of my other requests, may be obvious?) I don't think there's a single recurring character I haven't found 100% delightful (okay, no, I lie: I do not love TJ), so you could do anything with this and I'd love it forever. Some of my favourite things: The relationship between Justin and Alex, however you choose to view it; ridiculous magical hijinks; the way Alex accidentally saves the world, like, a lot; the way the whole wizard competition in the movie is basically one giant metaphor about - well, it's probably something dirty; MAX!!!
Also, okay, because I was having various ~dilemmas with my sign ups this year, there were a couple of requests I wrote but did not end up submitting. So if you would like to use one of these (especially for treat purposes - I don't know what the actual rules are on vidding an eligible but non-assigned fandom for your orginal assignment, but if it's allowed, go right ahead), please feel free. Otherwise, IDK, I guess this is included for curiosity purposes and/or giving myself really early ideas for next year ;)
(Also, if you've received my assignment and are going, "... that's not actually what she asked for, WHY IS FANDOM A ON THIS LIST WHEN HER SIGN UP HAS FANDOM B, that's why; I am pretty sure this letter is based on the actual version of my sign up that went through, but: I did not request, or think about requesting, any fandom I wouldn't be 100% happy to receive a vid in, so whatever else happens, just vid me whatever you feel like vidding and I will be thrilled with it, guaranteed.)

Details: I love this show the most when it's being fun and wacky (and when Rachel Bilson is being adorable, which is always). I love Bluebell's odd traditions (Planksgiving!) and Zoe trying to fit in and also every time she makes out with Wade, basically, and any of that in vid form would be super amazing.
What I would really love most is either a Zoe (or Wade/Zoe) vid or a general ensemble vid, but I love pretty much everyone on the show, from Zoe and Wade to Lavon and Lemon and George to Shelley the bartender and everyone in between, so there are very few things I actually wouldn't love a vid about. I would also be totally on board with something a little more dramatic, maybe examining the whole fish out of water thing Zoe has going on, or her various romantic misadventures or life crises, or whatever else you can think to make.
Terra Nova
Details: Dinosaurs! And time travel, and starting all over in a brand new scary place that's trying to kill you and people with guns and ~SCIENCE and warring factions, but mostly dinosaurs. I would love any kind of vid about any of these things - or pretty much anything else you can think of; I love this show probably way more than it deserves.
For a show about dinosaurs, Terra Nova really wasn't very much about dinosaurs, but I'm just saying, if you wanted to make a vid that made it seem like it was (because they just travelled back in time, nbd, and holy crap there are dinosaurs here), I would be really into that. I also really, really loved the whole brand new settlement thing they had going on, and whatever was happening with the plot (which IDEK really what that was), so I would genuinely love anything in this fandom. Character-wise, I'd love a more ensemble-y vid, but I loved Wash the very most, and thought Mark/Maddy was adorable, but there's nobody I would hate to see a vid about.
