So, the Young Justice finale happened.

And I'm dead inside, obviously, because WALLY!!! NO WHY EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE AND EVERYTHING HURTS. AND ARTEMIS TIGRESS SHE CHANGED HER NAME THAT WAS LITERALLY HER ACTUAL IDENTITY AND I CAN'T EVEN WITH THIS RIGHT NOW.

But. Also. There is one very important thing I want to discuss that I feel may have been overlooked in our collective abject and totally justified grief, and that is: Wendy and Marvin are dating.

WENDY AND MARVIN ARE DATING.

WENDY AND MARVIN ARE DATING.

And, okay, I know this is Earth-16 and people's origins are different, blah blah blah they're not actually (presumably) related in this universe, but. Wendy and Marvin. Who, in modern comics continuity - and probably in most people's minds - are twins. Who, in the show, have had very little interaction-slash-relationship buildup-slash-time for people to actually adjust to (or even recognise) the fact that hey maybe they're not twins here? What.

I MEAN. YOU CAN GO UN-RELATING PEOPLE ALL YOU WANT, IDEC, BUT YOU CANNOT THEN JUST HAVE THOSE TWO CHARACTERS START DATING LIKE IT'S NBD. THAT IS NOT A THING.

(IDK IF WEIRD PSEUDO-INCEST IS BETTER THAN THEIR COMICS FATES? PROBABLY FOR MARVIN, I GUESS.)

WELL THIS IS NOT AWKWARD AT ALL NOPE IT'S TOTALLY NORMAL.

Yeah, my !!! over the Wendy/Marvin thing was totally backburnered by Wally's death and Dick's leaving the team, but !!!!

I was at my parents house watching and I actually said, "But Wendy and Marvin are twins!"

Yep, mine too (at least initially, obviously), but it had me !!!! for a good long time, and once I had a few hours to process everything it came back again and wouldn't go away. SERIOUSLY I DON'T KNOW WHAT GREG WEISMAN WAS DOING. Has he even read comics in the last ten years?
