Be cool, Gail. Be cool. ([personal profile] amathela) wrote2008-09-17 10:09 pm

You know you love me

So, the house inspection we were supposed to have? Yeah, not so much with the happening. Apparently, the real estate agents tried to send someone else over to do it (who, or why, I have no idea), and then, they just ... didn't. I waited until about 8pm before giving up, putting on my pajamas, and getting dinner. We rescheduled for tomorrow, though, so.

Also, television:

Stargate Atlantis: 5-8 The Queen

I thought it was amusing that, for an episode in which Teyla is superawesomecool and not in need of rescue, she was, in fact, rescued. Twice. I would really have loved it if her gambit during the battle had been presented as a risky but level-headed move that ended up paying off, and I would have liked to see her defend herself against the Wraith, but it's not like I was really expecting either. Also, I really wouldn't complain about having more than one Teyla and one Ronon episode out of every twenty, but.

Gossip Girl: 2-3 The Dark Night

I continue to love this show so freaking much. To sum up:

The mini!fangirls were hilarious. They so need to start making Team Dan and Team Serena shirts, and people need to start wearing them on the show. And Blair would obviously have a Team Serena shirt, even though she so doesn't do t-shirts, and somehow that would lead to Blair and Serena making out.

Oh. My. God. NOTHING HAPPENED. "You are not using Blair as sexual Drano." She broke him, you guys. And lol @ Chuck trying to recreate the infamous limo sex - he is, like, a huge romantic, in the most twisted and disgusting way possible.

That said, the whispering scene? HOT LIKE SCORCHING. How do they manage to have this much chemistry? The Marcus/Blair staircase fight scene was suitably public and melodramatic, and I'm glad their relationship isn't over.

Last week started it, and this week confirmed it: I totally ship Rufus/Vanessa. But, y'know, I ship just about everyone on this show, so, hardly surprising. I also continue to ship Nate/Vanessa, and if Dan/Vanessa happens, I will cry. And possibly throw things. They are really cute as friends, though.

Predictable: Dan and Serena trapped in an elevator. But the van der Woodsen name-dropping made it totally worth it. "Well, they're going to send someone, so."

Vanessa is so awesomely mature, I ♥ her. "Tell me everything." I need Jessica Szohr to fall in love with me, like, now.

"Who would I tell, except everyone I've ever met?" DAN THINKS NATE GETTING PAID FOR SEX IS AS FUNNY AS I DO. Dude, am I actually starting to like Dan Humphrey? Whatever, I seriously cannot wait for next week.

One Tree Hill: 6-3 Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.

Okay, the show gets a pass on me hating it for this episode. I cried flat out for half an hour, and now my eyes hurt. I still hate that they killed Quentin, but at least they gave him a proper sendoff.

I didn't really bother paying much attention to the non-Quentin-related parts of the episode, but:

When the hell is somebody going to call Brooke on the "fell down the stairs" story? I mean, HELLO, FINGER-SHAPED BRUISES. Also, this storyline is making me not love Brooke, which is horrible and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Skills and Deb were sweet. And as much as I don't ship Lucas/Peyton, anything that stops us reliving season five's Peyton angst-fest is fine with me.

How much longer is the psycho!nanny storyline going to drag on? Even Dan can only make it partially watchable - "Hell, I might even be able to help you out." Oh, Dan, never get less creepy.

Sarah Connor Chronicles: 2-2 Automatic For The People

"Once upon a time, you were inside her." SO AWESOMELY FEMSLASHY I COULD DIE. I ♥ you, show. Also, the look Sarah and Cameron share when they're explaining the car crash at the plant was fantastic.

Loved Sarah's palpable fear of radiation, and of getting cancer. I really, really hope that's not how she dies, in the end, but it's so terrifyingly unknown and something - unlike killing machines from the future - she can't fight.

[livejournal.com profile] talumin likes Riley, but I didn't really care for her. Unless she's a robot, of course. But John is by far my least favourite character, so.

Loved the scene with Charley and Ellison (and also find it amusing, since [livejournal.com profile] talumin pointed it out, that Charley's wife looks like Linda Hamilton). I'm a little sad that Charley's probably leaving, and hope they find a way to bring Ellison together with Sarah et al sooner or later. Charley's wife's reaction to him saying he doesn't still love Sarah was perfect, though.

Obviously, I adored the Sarah and Cameron scenes, but I'd really like more Derek (especially Derek and Sarah).

Such a good Gossip Girl!! The Blair/Chuck...so much chemistry its CRAZY. I like that Marcus is still liking Blair, but I want Blair/Chuck...since they are so amazing together....poor Chuck. :(

I'm kinda glad Serena and Dan aren't together....they are so lame. *yawn*

<3 Vanessa though. How amazingly mature she was! Getting blackmailed and doing what was best for Nate. The Duchess is such a bitch though....

Chuck and Blair's chemistry is definitely insane, but I'm not sure I want them to get together - I'm just really enjoying the build-up.

And, yeah, I'm kind of over the Duchess. Vanessa is obviously so much more awesome than her.
