Just for one day
I'm not quite caught up with all my TV watching yet - now that Heroes and HIMYM are back, and with Chuck returning next week, I'm pretty sure I have as many shows to watch on Monday (well, Tuesday, here) as I do for the entire rest of the week. I may end up culling some of my shows as the season progresses, though, so we'll see.
Stargate Atlantis: 5-9 Tracker
SGA does Safe, which was pretty obvious from the moment Keller disappeared. I seem to like Keller a little less every time I see her, which is very disappointing - I really want to love her - but at least she was shown to be competent and useful in this episode. I'm also surprisingly bored with the Ronon/Keller/Rodney love triangle, which is sad, because I really liked Ronon/Keller early last season, and have nothing against Rodney/Keller; that said, I'm really not sure if my apathy is borne of the way it's being handled, or is simply because I'm pretty much over SGA at this point. And other reaction posts I've read seemed to like this episode, so I'm actually pretty sure it's just me. Which is a shame, because I used to really like this show.
That said, I totally reserve the right to squee over next week's preview. Because, DANIEL!! I would really love lots of Daniel and Teyla and some John and Ronon, and Rodney can be there, too, and if they remember there are other people on Atlantis - Woolsey and Lorne and Zelenka - that would be awesome. Of course, that would require them being able to write more than two or three people in a single episode, which I'm not actually sure they can any more. I miss the days when my team was actually a team.
Gossip Girl: 2-4 The Ex Files
LOVE bitchy Serena. And the scene with leper!Dan at the end? Absolutely hilarious. I find it ridiculously endearing that Serena is now over her flirtation withheterosexuality being nice and is now back to being totally gay the queen of the high school where she belongs. And her manhandling of Blair! I totally approve. Also, I was very excited to be getting scenes with Blair and Vanessa, but they were way too short - I want more interaction between them! Poor Vanessa - she just doesn't know the rules for playing in the rich kids' world. Her outfits were adorably bright and ridiculous, though.
Rufus was totally right to confront Lily, even if I do ship them. And I'm glad Marcus and Catherine are gone, because I'm totally over them now. Also, I have less than zero interest in poor, tortured Jenny *tear* - if she and Dan didn't come with a hot dad and an awesome loft, I really would not be able to stand them. And Chuck was ridiculously Chuck-like and melodramatic, as always.
Heroes: 3-1 The Second Coming & 3-2 The Butterfly Effect
SQUEE!!! Oh, show, never leave me again. I don't even care if Heroes isn't actually that good, because I love it way beyond reason. (Okay, I could live without some of the angst, but as long as they keep covering it up with melodrama, I'm happy.)
Future Peter/Future Claire ♥. Future Claire was totally hot. And the heart-shaped puff of smoke! And Future Peter with regular Claire - wow, they were smouldering. When Angela confronted Future Peter about unintentionally hurting people he loves, I wanted so badly for her to say Claire, but really didn't think she would - and she did!Mother always knows. I really want more Claire-with-Petrellis, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen any time soon, which is just one of the reasons I'm ambiguous about Meredith coming back.
I really want to know what the deal is with not-Niki, and what actually happened to Niki - I'll be very sad if she died, even if I do still get Ali Larter on my screen. I am very happy that she'll be working with Nathan, though - I missed politician!Nathan, and I missed Nathan/Niki, so.
Speaking of Nathan - he has a head!Linderman. Or should we call him Harvey? What's next - pizza and margarita shooters? If he shows up in a Hawaiian shirt, I will send Tim Kring, like, all of my money.
Loved superpowered!Mohinder until his final scene - WTF is up with his back? His stint as So Damn Awesome Man was, however ... well, so damn awesome. Zero to sex in five seconds flat - nice work!
I will feel sorry for Francis Capra if all he gets to play is Peter's reflection :( But at least I'm fairly confident now that he'll get at least one scene with Kristen Bell (and hopefully, he'll actually be in it). I really hope she goes rogue bounty hunter to try to catch the escapees - even if she's no longer employed by the company, it's really all she knows. Also, her overloading when Sylar tried to kill her? TOO DAMN AWESOME FOR WORDS.
Yay, Adam cameo! I hope this means he'll be in more episodes. I'm already shipping Adam/Niki - it's a sickness, I know.
And, while I don't necessarily believe it, Angela's reveal to Sylar at the end was totally loltastic. Fandom, this one's for you. I swear, the season ten reveal is going to be that everyone is a Petrelli.
ETA: I totally forgot! "Thank you, turtle. You saved my life." SO COMPLETELY AWESOME.
How I Met Your Mother: 4-1 Do I Know You?
OMG Barney! Him trying to date Robin was so totally adorable and inept, and Robin was every bit as freaked out by it as I was. I'm very happy that he's still going to be Barney, because "de - wait for it - lightful" was just too creepy and wrong (and hilarious) for words. I love how Lily compared him to a kid trying to eat safety scissors. Also, Robin and Lily were both very gay this episode, which was awesome.

I don't know, based on the complementary nature of Maya's power and her brother's -- they were fraternal twins, weren't they? -- I'm banking on Peter and Gabriel being separated at birth. Probably a mother's misguided attempt at protecting them/the rest of the world from the combined power of their abilities, based on a dream. Also, she was clearly a big Genesis fan.

It really does make sense for Peter and Sylar to be twins, and I would love it if she was telling the truth, but it's Angela, so I'm trying not to take everything she says at face value. But I'm so looking forward to the rest of this season, I'm ridiculously excited about it.
