I don't find the kiss sexual, particularly since the way it was done seemed like it was there mostly to highlight the manner of the control (how stilted and robotic it is). The fact that he refers to her as honey (or whichever endearment it was) before hand is skeevier to me. I don't think, on some level, it is supposed to be squicky like that, since there are interviews than essentially refer to Doyle as a "nice guy", so they are trying to put him as that entitled winy guy who doesn't get why girls don't like him. And, obviously, this makes him an unsympathetic villain whose ass I don't mind seeing kicked.
