Okay, so - briefly! - Glee:
Glee: 1-7 Throwdown
Leaving aside the slightly contradictory addressing of race!fail (because other people can, and have, talked about it far more eloquently than I could hope to) - QUINN!
GOSH, SHE IS JUST MY FAVOURITE, YOU GUYS. ALSO, SANTANA. ♥
Loved You Keep Me Hangin' On. HOW HOT ARE CHEERLEADERS DRESSED UP AS FOOTBALLERS, SERIOUSLY? HOT AND SLIGHTLY CONFUSING. I LIKE THEM BECAUSE THEY'RE GIRLS, BUT THEY'RE DRESSED LIKE BOYS? WHATEVER, SO HOT.
And, okay, I'm just going to say it here, and get it out of the way: I ship Puck/Quinn. Ever since the pilot, actually, when I barely knew Puck's name, and I just thought it should be a thing. And then it was a thing, which was awesome.
I totally get why people don't ship them. Or why people would be opposed to shipping them. But I didn't read Puck getting Quinn drunk on wine coolers as Puck deliberately lowering Quinn's capacity to consent in order to have sex with her; I read it as him being drunk, probably (because it's a party), and maybe encouraging her to get drunk, too, and then sex happened. And some people interpret it differently, and that's fine. But it's an interpretation, and it kind of bugs me when people are all NO, RAPE! because - that's not the objective truth. There is no objective truth. So far, there is only subjective interpretation, and I like mine.
And, ick, nor do I think they're the next Chuck/Blair. I mean, again, YMMV, but that's so not why I ship them.
(I ship them because he loves her, you guys, and sometimes he looks at her like that, and I really believe he could get his life together for a kid, and be a decent person. And, you know. MILF.)
