Just wreck it, you insured the thing
Ack, why can I not write? I'm trying to finish my
spook_me David/Selena fic, and I love the premise, like, a lot, but actually getting it down is like pulling teeth. Yesterday I wrote 200 words! This was an improvement over the last four days. God, why is it hard?
Far more awesomely:
prettylightsfic is running again this year! Besides
yuletide, it looks like this may be the only holiday fic exchange I participate in this year (unless something new and awesome suddenly pops up - I would not say no to something Disney-themed, or even Glee), so I'm very excited. The poll to gauge interest in fandoms is up now, so if you have any interest in a multifandom RPF exchange, you should totally consider signing up, and go vote! And, I'm just saying - if you really love me (and are genuinely interested in participating), and wanted to suggest Disney RPF as a write-in fandom? I would totally not be opposed to that.
Since I have no new fic to offer (I'm still working on those meme prompt fics, I swear), have some episode reactions:
Glee: 1-8 Mash-Up
I'm liking this show more as it goes on (and now that I'm pretty sure it's not trying to sell me the happy-yay-no-problems, aren't Will and Finn such awesome good guys? premise it seemed to set up in the pilot). And especially the more it includes Puck and Quinn, who are two of my favourites. And Sue, who I feel I should mention lest she give me a kitten and then punch me in the face. I would also be happy with more Tina, Santana, and Artie, but, that might be coming? And, okay, I really enjoyed Puck/Rachel in this episode, but Puck/Quinn is still my OTP. (I feel like I really want Puck and Rachel to be bros, or whatever. And then they could join forces to break up Finn and Quinn, and use their evil powers for good! Or something.)
One Tree Hill: season seven-ish
I don't think I'll ever love OTH as much as I did in the early years, but I'm enjoying season seven well enough. No Lucas and Peyton angst! Rachel! Dan as a late night motivational speaker! (Which is one of those things, like Tigh losing an eye, that seems so right it kind of feels like it was always true.) A boatload of random hot chicks! I've always kind of been lukewarm on Chase/Mia, but for some reason, this season I really ship them? Whatever, his inability to make drinks is hilarious. I have officially switched my allegiance over from Brooke/Millie (Brooke can be all happy and straight with Julian, whatever) and am shipping Alex/Millie hardcore. I like Quinn, though I'm not really shipping Clay/Quinn; love Miranda (yeah, she won me over with the interview), and am halfway to shipping Haley/Miranda. And I'm having semi-serious OT3 thoughts about Nathan/Haley/Clay. And yay, Amanda Schull! I kind of want her to stick around, even though I have no idea who her character is supposed to be. (I would probably die if she were Clay's sister. But that's just me and my weird tendencies.)
The last episode of Greek wasn't my favourite, but Ashleigh is adorable. As always. I'm kind of loving Eastwick (even though I'm not fully caught up yet), which I only really started watching because I love Jaime Ray Newman and Rebecca Romijn, but it's awesomely cracky and kind of enchanting. And I'm watching Flash Forward, mostly at
talumin's behest, but the only things I really care about are a) Janis, b) John Cho, and c) WHAT WAS UP WITH THE RANDOM FREAKING WALLABY? Um.
ETA: Haha, this window has been open so long that I managed to watch The Plan before I finished posting! Thinky thoughts to come, possibly?
