lizardbeth gave me "a human-seeming alien on Earth, trying to find a way home." So, this is kind of that, only in a way that is also a Disney AU? I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT HAPPENED, WHATEVER. Also, it has aliens and amateur spies and high school and cute girls making out, a lot.
MY GIRLFRIEND IS AN ALIEN
Jessie is a regular student at Greentree Valley High School. When she meets new transfer student Kira, she feels an instant connection, but it isn't long before she finds out the secret Kira's been hiding: she's an alien. Now, with the help of Jessie's brother Nate and classmate Erin, they're on a mission to help Kira find her way back home.
Breaking into top secret government laboratories and learning about an alien culture wasn't how Jessie expected to be spending her senior year. Neither was falling in love. But sometimes, even the best laid plans can go awry.
Jessica Lopez (Selena Gomez)
Jessie is an average girl - she gets decent grades, is a member of the social committee, and she has friends, sort of. She just ... doesn't particularly like them, is all. Her life is pretty unexciting - so when she meets Kira, she's all too happy to skip a couple of classes in favour of breaking into secret government facilities and running away from bad guys. As long as her parents don't notice that anything's up. And they don't mind having hergirlfriend new best friend sleep over a lot.
Kira Abel (Demi Lovato)
Um, she's an alien, duh? Okay, but aside from that: she left home before finishing her education, opting instead for a life ADVENTURING AMONG THE STARS. Awesome, right? Unfortunately, she ended up on Earth, which - it turns out, is kind of boring. Not to mention that she crashed her ship, and now there's a top secret government organisation on her tail. Now she's trying to pretend to be a normal teenage girl at the same time that she looks for a way home, but will her relationship with Jessie make her question whether she really wants to leave? (ANSWER: YES.)
Nathaniel Lopez (Nick Jonas)
Nate is, like, a genius or whatever.Actually, three points shy of a genius, but who's counting? Which is really annoying sometimes, but mostly, he and Jessie get along pretty well; when he's not being uber-geeky, he's actually pretty fun to be around. (Plus, they're twins, so it's not like she could escape him if she tried.) He's a member of about a billion extracurricular clubs - including the Alien Conspiracy League, which, it turns out, comes in really handy when trying to track down an alien conspiracy.
Erin McKinley (Chelsea Staub)
Erin isprofessionally adorable pretty, popular, and outgoing. She and Jessie are sort of friends, in a way where they aren't, really - until she finds out the truth about Kira, and then she becomes an unlikely fourth member of their group. She's surprisingly good at the whole undercover-spy-keeping-secrets thing, but still finds a way to balance the takedown of a shady government organisation vs her obligations as a cheerleader and president of Greendale Valley's social committee. Because, duh, she still has priorities.
TOGETHER, THEY FIGHTCRIME AN EVIL GOVERNMENT CONSPIRACYTM. There's nothing like huge, interstellar secrets to bring friends closer, right? Also, Nate maybe has a thing for Erin (but who wouldn't?).
It all starts when Jessie and Kira meet one afternoon after school. Jessie is waiting around for her brother's Alien Conspiracy League to finish meeting so they can go home (they have to share a car, and seriously, what possessed their parents to think a joint birthday present was a good idea?); Kira is hovering around to see if the club actually knows anything about aliens that might help her get home. Which they totally do, but she's a little too distracted by Jessie to notice.
They quickly become friends, and then maybe more than friends - and then Kira tells Jessie that she's an alien. And Jessie maybe freaks out a little, but that's totally normal, right? Anyway, it doesn't take her long to accept the truth, or to decide that, if Kira is going to engage in dangerous, secret missions in her quest to find a way home, she wants in.She also wants into Kira's pants.
So, together they fight bad guys and discover awesome technology and unravel government conspiracies. And go to high school. AND THEN THEY MAKE OUT.
