I am so vastly unprepared for Christmas. I have plane tickets home, but only because my dad booked them; I have no presents, no ideas for presents, and definitely no money to buy presents. Sigh.
In happier news, it's my birthday in exactly two weeks (Australian time). And since it's a far, far better thing doing stuff for other people, and it's something I can actually do: I've decided to give out birthday fics.
If there's a fic you've ever wanted written just for you, now's the time to ask for it; like a fic exchange, but no reciprocity required.
What I can do:
Most het pairings, gen, and femmeslash. Any rating. I'm not really a slash writer, but I'll give it a go (nothing graphic) if that's what you really want. At the moment, I'm most enjoying BSG, Farscape, and SGA (*crosses fingers*), but I can write any of the following fandoms.

How to get a fic:
Ask! Anyone is welcome, whether you're on my flist or not. This is a fic for you, so be as specific as you like - if there's a premise or situation you'd really like to see written, ask away. On the other hand, if you just want a general character, pairing, or type of fic, ask for that, too.
What I promise:
At least one fic for everyone who asks. If you ask for more than one, you may get it, but just in case, try to list requests in the order you'd like them. Fics will be at least 500 words each. I'll try to post the fics as close to my birthday (December 5th) as possible, and definitely by the end of the year. And, of course, I'll be writing as close to your request as I can, since these are gift fics.
I'll leave requests open until my birthday, so you have two weeks to ask for what you'd like. If you don't want to comment publicly, you can email me at amathela@gmail.com. And please, don't be shy - I'm in the mood to give stuff, and I'd be awfully sad if nobody took me up on it ;)
