Crossover + Pairings Fic Memes
Crossover meme (from
wily_one24):
Give me two characters from different fandoms you know I’m familiar with, and I’ll give you a scene happening between the two of them. Without justifying how the crossover would work, how their worlds clashed, or how they could even meet each other. Just a silly crossover conversation with no backstory, for fun.
Pairings meme:
Pick a character from one of my fandoms. I'll choose five characters to pair that character with (crossovers are a possibility). I'll write a "five moments" type fic using each pairing, then you can choose the one you like best and I'll write you a fic with that pairing, using the moment you liked as a base.
My fandoms are listed in my intro post, but you probably know them by now. Prompt me, please? :D

Gosh this is hard. How about... Cally and Kaylee from BSG & Firefly. Haha.
Pairings:
Sam Anders

Cally's seen her share of old planes. With the exception of Lee's Viper, they're all she sees. The Mach Twos are practically antiques - hell, they'd been display pieces - and Galactica's hardly the best and brightest of the fleet.
She likes old planes. They're what keep them all alive.
But she's never been in anything quite like Serenity. She thinks she saw something like a Firefly once, before the war began and she still thought she was going to be a dentist, but the engine's unlike anything she's ever worked on, and if she's being really honest with herself, she doesn't even have a clue where to start.
"It's the compression coil," a female voice says behind her, and she turns around. "Never had much luck with 'em."
The woman doesn't look much older than she is, and Cally guesses she's the ship's mechanic. She smiles and moves forward, guiding Cally's hands to the left.
"I'm Kaylee," she says, and Cally nods. "It's okay if you can't fix her right away. She'll talk to you if she needs to."
She looks around the engine room with something like rapture, and Cally guesses that Kaylee feels the same way about Serenity that she does about Galactica, the same way the Chief feels about all his planes. She slides her hands over the engine, and after a minute, she thinks she can see the problem.
When she looks up, Kaylee's still smiling at her, and Cally thinks she knows.
I'll be back with the Anders fic (yay, Anders!) - any pairings in particular you'd like me to keep in mind?

Re: Anders, hmm. Nothing in particular. I wouldn't mind slash if you'll go there, but if not that's cool too. Oh, Caprica/Anders! And the obligatory Kara. Or whatever strikes you!

"That's the guy?" Veronica can't keep the edge of scepticism out of her voice, and she knows her father picks up on it.
"That's the oldest son," he says. "There seems to be come confusion about who's running the company now that the father's in jail."
She nods, and he gives her his best "good luck" smile as she makes her way over. CEO of a major company, and B-grade part time magician. Jake Kane, this guy is not.
"Gob Bluth?" she asks, and he turns, smile fixed firmly in place.
"Gob Bluth," he says, correcting her pronunciation.
She nods. "Hi, I'm Veronica. I was wondering -"
"Veronica," he interrupts her, leaning a little too close. "That's a pretty name."
She blinks. Is this guy hitting on her?
She ignores it. "I was wondering if you had a minute to talk?"
"How about I take two?" he asks, and she frowns. He recovers quickly. "Why don't I buy you a drink?"
She doesn't answer for a minute. They're standing in the middle of the beach, and she isn't sure if he's coming on to her or if he's just really confused.
"I'm good," she says, and he leans in even closer.
"Do you like magic, Veronica?" he asks, his voice low, and she opens her mouth to answer a second before he squirts fluid onto her shirt. She recognises the lighter fluid immediately, and she nearly trips over her own feet as she backs away quickly.
"Hey, where are you going?" he asks, stepping forward, and she starts to run.

Apparently, I'm crazy, so I wrote two versions: Girls Not In Bars (http://amidalashari.livejournal.com/63011.html), the regular version, and Girls Not In Bars (Girls In Bars Remix) (http://amidalashari.livejournal.com/63714.html), the crossover version.

Sharon threw up her hands instinctively as she stared down the barrel of a gun. Beside her, Racetrack did the same.
"Who are you?" a man in front of her asked, if 'man' was even the right word. "And what do you want with Moya?"
"Lieutenant Sharon Agathon," she said slowly. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Racetrack glance at her. "We're not here to hurt you."
She couldn't tell if the man - the alien, she supposed - believed her. A dark-haired woman moved forward to grab her roughly, which she supposed was better than being shot; she had certainly had her fill of both. As they were being led away, she could hear Racetrack mutter.
"So much for a simple recon jump."
-
"Your friend can't understand us," the woman said, and Sharon held her gaze. She had been in cells before; it wasn't enough to intimidate her. "Why can you?"
She shrugged. "I'm different."
"Different?"
"Not human."
At that, the woman went stiff, and Sharon watched her curiously. She hadn't picked her as someone who cared about species, given her companions.
"She is human?"
"Of course she's human." A thought struck Sharon. "You're a Cylon."
"A what?"
For a moment, she studied the woman, then shook her head. "Then what are you?"
"I am Sebacean."
She said it as if the meaning ought to be obvious, but it meant nothing to Sharon. She shouldn't have been surprised; there were obviously many races neither Cylons nor humans had heard of.
When the woman said nothing else, Sharon decided to try her luck. "We need to get back to our ship," she said. "If we don't, more people will come looking for us."
"More humans?"
"Yes."
The woman looked sceptical. "Your level of technology does not exist on Earth."
Now it was Sharon's turn to be speechless. She blinked, and tried to recover her voice. "You know where Earth is."

Or Teyla and Faith (Buffy/Angel). Or Teyla and Niki (Heroes).
Pick one. :)

"How is your throat?"
Lee looked up to see the woman from earlier - Teyla, he remembered - standing in the doorway. She glanced over at the two guards as she entered; the room might be nicer than any on Galactica, but he knew a prison when he saw one.
"It's fine," he said, trying not to wince.
She smiled. "I apologise for Colonel Sheppard's behaviour. He is very protective when it comes to Earth. We have many enemies who wish to know its location."
"Yeah," he said, somewhat hoarsely. "Yeah, so do we."
She sat down beside him, and he couldn't help smiling back; nobody else in Atlantis had been quite so friendly. "You are referring to the Cylons?"
He nodded. "They followed us here. Or we followed them. I'm surprised we managed to lose them for this long."
Teyla looked thoughtful. "You still believe they are coming."
"You can count on it."
"Then we will help you fight them." Lee followed her hands as they trailed across her lap. "And when the Wraith next arrive, I hope you will help us."
She got up to leave, and Lee stood. "Sheppard," he said. "Is he ... are you ..."
She turned. "We are just friends."
"Yeah," he said quietly. "I've got one of those."
