Dear rarewomen author:

Thank you so much for writing me a fic! Whatever you end up writing, I'm sure I'll love it, especially since it features one of my favourite female characters. If you don't want a whole lot of extra details, or if you already have an idea in mind, feel free to stop reading now and go with that, but I love talking about the things I love, so I've done that here. A lot.

I enjoy het, femslash, and gen. I love ensemble fics, banter, makeouts, unresolved (and resolved) sexual tension, romantic comedy, action/adventure, wacky hijinks, humour, crack, PWPs, apocafic, and ridiculous AUs. In general, I'm not super into angst, and I prefer fics where characters interact with people and do things over introspective character studies. I really, really, love tropes and clichés, and totally ridiculous, over the top plots, the more shameless the better. I love first times, and secret relationships, and casual hookups, and ex-girlfriends and boyfriends, and rekindling old relationships. I love people being in love without having to say it, and people who are obviously in love but maybe don't realise it, and ridiculously overblown romantic gestures where one person completely embarrasses themselves, and small gestures that mean a whole lot more than they seem to. Most of all, I love characters who are genuinely really into each other - as friends, or as more than that. I'm happy to read any rating, and smut is welcome but absolutely not necessary.


DCU - Comicverse (Stephanie Brown, Rose Wilson)

I have a lot of favourite comics characters, but Steph and Rose are two of my very, very favourites. (I guess I have a thing for blondes with supervillain dads who nobody really believes can or should be superheroes.) I love Steph's self-deprecating sense of humour and her constant struggle with gravity and the way she's still atoning for the past and her love of waffles, and I especially love the way she finally grows into herself as a hero as Batgirl and has the confidence to own the mantle, even if she's not perfect and knows she still has a lot to learn. I love Rose's attitude and her general badassery and the way she's combative and rage-y and struggles with being the right kind of superhero and sometimes with not killing people, and the way she flirts with basically everyone. And I would really, really love pretty much anything featuring either of these two from just about any point in canon, though I do have a preference for pre-New 52 Rose and Batgirl!Steph.

Things I would particularly love:

The Continuing Adventures of Batgirl. Basically anything set during or after Steph's Batgirl run, especially anything that expanded on any of the future possibilities presented in the final few pages of the last issue.

Team ups! Whether canonical or not, I'd love to see Steph and/or Rose interacting as part of a team - in particular, a team full of awesome people who like them and aren't jerks. Or teaming up with pretty much anyone else from the DC universe - you can check my comics tag for characters/titles I'm familiar with, though I have at least a passing familiarity with most of the post-crisis universe.

I'd also eagerly read either Steph or Rose paired up with Dick Grayson (romantically or not). I loved the Renegade arc in Nightwing when he was training Rose, and would love either anything from that timeframe, or a later reunion between them. And I've always thought Steph and Dick had a lot in common; I love reading pretty much anything where they interact, and Dick/Steph is the (not so) secret pairing of my heart.

AUs! I want to read about the universe where Steph is a Green Lantern! Or the one where she's Nightwing. Or where Rose became Dick's sidekick partner. Or where the reboot never happened. Or where Steph still exists in the New 52. Or pretty much anything else! <3

The One Starring Awesome Teen Superheroes Whose Dads Are Supervillains. Rose + Steph (+ Cass Cain, YJ!Artemis Crock, anyone else who fits the bill ...) team up and are awesome together.

I also really love both Rose and Steph's (platonic) relationships with Damian; the way Steph is the best-slash-most-annoying big sister ever, the way he and Rose start off wanting to kill each other and he ends up thinking she's pretty much the best. I find both relationships really adorable, and would happily read more of them. (I would also totally buy a scenario where Damian develops a crush on either of them.)

Adorable domestic Batfamily shenanigans that don't ignore Steph and (especially) Cass.

Superboy/Rose. I loved their interactions towards the end of (pre-reboot) Teen Titans, and I would love forever anything that explored that dynamic some more (preferably with makeouts).

Marvel (Comics) (Karolina Dean, Kate Bishop)

I recently devoured all of Runaways and Young Avengers, and fell in love with them - especially with these two characters - so, so hard. I love Karolina's general optimism (and literal shininess), her romance with Xavin, her friendship with Nico, and her relationships with the other Runaways. I love Kate's competence and her attitude and her various romantic entanglements and the way she basically just decided to be a hero one day, her leadership of the Young Avengers and relationships with its other members, and her partnership with Clint in Hawkeye, and I would love to read about any of those things.

(Sorry about the character duplication on my actual request - Kate was in the tag set twice, and I didn't want there to be missed matches.)

Things I would particularly love:

The story of How Karolina And Xavin Fell In Love. The first time we see them after leaving Earth, they're already in love and about to get married - I want to see how they got from an intergalactic arranged betrothal to actually falling in love. Bonus points if it includes awesome alien space adventures.

Hawkeyes! <3 I love, love, love the relationship between Clint and Kate, from the first time they actually met to their current partnership in Hawkeye, and more of any of that would be super amazing. (I'm equally fond of their relationship as shippy or platonic, though I certainly wouldn't say no to makeouts.)

More adventures as part of the Runaways and/or Young Avengers. Especially if there's lots of team-y goodness, or more Karolina/Xavin.

If you're a fan of both titles, I'd be totally happy to read (another) Runaways/Young Avengers crossover (especially if Molly and Tommy get to interact some more, because that was adorable). Or a Young Avengers/Avengers team-up, or another encounter between the Runaways and the X-Men - or just about any other crossover with other Marvel titles.

Anything taking place in the time between the disbanding and re-formation of the Young Avengers, or dealing with the new Young Avengers title. (As a side note, I'm a fan of Kate's hookup with Noh-Varr, so feel free to continue on with that or ignore it, but please no negativity on that front.)

Speaking of Kate/Noh-Varr: How did they hook up? (The variant cover intrigues me - I would totally read fic about that night.) Does it happen again? Does Kate just want another chance to pilot his spaceship?

Or any other kind of hookup! Kate and Tommy and clandestine makeouts, Kate and Eli bickering while on a mission, Nico and Karolina actually happening (I may have shipped it a little since the first issue) ... it's all good.

AUs are totally welcome - want to explore one of the 'What If?' scenarios, or write your own? Diverge from canon at some point? Write the fic where they're all college students or camp counsellors or a spaceship crew or something equally cracky? I would totally read that!

Big Time Rush (Lucy Stone, Camille Roberts, Katie Knight)

I love everyone on this show - what I would really love is some kind of ensemble fic, if you're up to that, but I would also love pretty much any kind of fic about any or all of the characters I requested. I love Camille's craziness, and her method acting, and the way she absolutely is not shy about going after whatever she wants (especially when that something is Logan); I love Lucy's whole rocker chick thing and the way she makes Kendall's head explode and the way she notices but ultimately embraces the crazy; I love how Katie can accomplish pretty much anything she sets her mind to and generally just owns everyone else all the time. I also love the four guys, and the relationships between pretty much everybody, and the completely ridiculous tone of the show, so I'd love fic that embraces any or all of that.

Things I would love:

Ensemble fic! Absolutely anything, but the crazier and wackier and more ridiculous the better.

What if Lucy and/or Camille came along on the world tour? Would there have been more crazy amazing adventures? Definitely. Would Camille have gotten overly involved in being a super-secret super-spy? Almost certainly. Would there have been 100% more makeouts? I hope so!

Camille being her awesome, crazy self. Bonus points if it involves her being in character for a role, and super bonus points if it includes Logan/Camille. My favourite part of their relationship was when they were broken up but still kept hooking up, like, all the time, ngl, but also every other part of it, because their relationship is pretty much super great all the time.

Lucy! Who quickly became my favourite character, IDEK how I survived without her for almost two whole seasons. I really love the dynamic between Kendall and Lucy, especially in season two (I haven't seen most of season three yet, but I am spoiled for the whole love triangle thing, and I'd prefer fic that doesn't deal with that), so anything where they hook up would be A++++, but I also really love her dynamic with the whole group (remember when she made them all play party games? That was my FAVOURITE).

James & Katie fic (or James/Katie future fic). Remember that time she want on a date and James TOTALLY FREAKED OUT? Yeah, that was also my favourite. I would definitely read more of that. Alternatively, fic where Katie >>>>>> everybody.

And that time when Logan was convinced that Kendall and Camille were secretly dating and he and Lucy teamed up and it was basically a huge, amazing mess of swapping around my favourite pairings and making me ship basically everything? YET ANOTHER FAVOURITE. I would totally not object to something like that happening again.

Miss Match (Kate Fox, Victoria Carlson)

I love this show so, so much, and I love Kate and Victoria in particular. I would love pretty much any kind of fic you could possibly write for me here - gen or shippy, drama, comedy, crack, crossover, AU, whatever. Things I love the most include: The fact that every episode contains its very own miniature romantic comedy, hanging out at the bar, Kate in matchmaking mode, first dates, blind dates, not-a-date dates, anything and everything where characters interact with each other. I love the relationship between Kate and Victoria a lot (in both a shippy and a platonic way), but I also love their individual relationships with other characters, and I really am not lying when I say I would love anything written about these characters.

Things I would particularly love:

Post-series fic where Adam keeps pursuing Kate, and where she (reluctantly) falls for him. I just really loved this storyline, and I'd love to see it play out - especially if their relationships with Michael stay intact.

Or you could solve the love triangle with an OT3 - who's to say Kate can't date both of them?

Nick/Victoria. Anything, anything involving Nick and Victoria. Hookups at the bar? Sexy roommates with benefits? Mutually being in denial about the fact they they're totally (still) dating? Yes, please!

Kate and Victoria, awesome BFFs! Or Kate and Victoria, awesomely hooking up.

Anything that reads vaguely like an episode of the show - feel free to make up your own couple(s) for Kate to matchmake, or a plotty court case for her to get involved in, or anything else you feel like writing.

Crossovers are also totally welcome, though I'd prefer fandoms I'm familiar with. The Clueless fan in me would particularly love a crossover with Franklin & Bash (maybe Kate and Jared went to high school together??? and/or they meet on a divorce case?), and I've always really wanted a Psych crossover where blah blah blah legal stuff, and maybe Kate sets up Gus with ALL THE LADIES (or possibly with Shawn). But feel free to use your imagination (as long as the focus stays on Kate and/or Victoria).

Avalon High (Allie Pendragon)

Okay, so: While I was watching this for the first time, I enjoyed it (mostly because of Britt Robertson's face, ngl), AND THEN THE ENDING HAPPENED AND IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS MOVIE 1000%. Basically this movie hit on some of my favourite tropes crazy hard (mythology adaptations! modern AUs! girls in armour!), and I really just want more of any of that.

Things I would particularly love:

Anything set post-movie. How does Allie deal with the revelation that she's actually King Arthur? Where does she go from here? I loved the last scene of the movie - the way the whole gang was together, the blending of their past and present identities - and I'd love anything that continues in that vein.

Past lives! If you wanted to write me Arthurian mythology fic where Allie is the king and Miles is her wizard, etc. I would be so on board with that! MORE GIRLS IN ARMOUR, basically. And swordfighting. (There doesn't have to be swordfighting. But I would definitely enjoy it if that's the sort of thing you would like to write.)

Identity porn. All the identity porn. Playing around with the characters' identities and histories would be seriously awesome, so go nuts with that.

Or you could introduce other characters from Arthurian myth! More knights of the round table! Morgan le Fay! The Lady of the Lake! And who was Will, after all?

Or cross the movie over with another Arthurian adaptation - I'd particularly love an Avalon High/Merlin crossover. Merlins being dorks together! Arthurs doing ... literally whatever you would like them to do! Allie totally hooking up with Morgana!

AUs! What if Allie had been at Avalon High from the beginning, like she was supposed to? How would the love triangle have played out then? What else could have gone wrong - or right?

ANYTHING ELSE EVER. This is true of all my requests, but seriously, feel free to go as trope-y as you like. Whatever you feel like writing, I will adore it!

Wizards of Waverly Place (Alex Russo)

I love the show a lot, so something in that vein, with humour and implausible situations and wacky magical hijinks, would be fantastic, but I'd also love any kind of fic, from action/adventure quests to cracky AU to angsty apocafic. I love Alex, in all her apathetic, quasi-evil glory; I love it when she screws up, and when she doesn't care, and when she does, and I really, really love all the times she (accidentally or not) ends up saving the day. I love the extended cast, so fic featuring as many of them as you like would be all kinds of awesome (and I particularly love Max, who I find ridiculously endearing at all times). And more than anything, I love the relationship between Justin and Alex, whether in a regular sibling-y way or not, and I love them being at the centre of each other's worlds, even if they'd never admit it. If it's something you're into at all, I would really love Justin/Alex shippy fic, but I also love them interacting in any way, as well as Alex when she's on her own and her relationships with pretty much the entire cast.

Things I would particularly love:

Anything at all with wacky magical hijinks, seriously. Funny, cracky, trope-y fics where there are magical ~shenanigans and Alex (and Justin and/or Max, Harper, Zeke, etc.) has to scramble to fix them are my favourite. Basically, anything that feels even remotely like an episode of the show.

Movie fic! Anything set during- or post-movie, dealing with Alex and Justin's quest, memory loss, the competition, anything. I love the movie like crazy, so anything dealing with any of that would be amazing.

Or anything dealing with the wizard competition at all, particularly in the lead-up to it. (With the caveat that I'm not super interested in future fic, and I haven't actually seen the very last episode yet, oops.)

But!!!! Especially anything that diverges from canon re: the competition - maybe they all get to keep their powers! Maybe they rebel and overthrow the entire competition! Maybe Max wins (and then Justin and Alex really do start that band)!

WizTech! I love WizTech, so if you feel like sending Alex (and anyone else) back there for more adventures, that would be super great.

Other adventures! I loved the epic, quest-y nature of the film, so anything else like that would be amazing also.

Alex (and whoever else you'd like to include) accidentally saving - or maybe accidentally destroying - the world. Pre-, post-, or regular flavour apocafic are all totally welcome.

AUs! Fusions! Totally ridiculous use of tropes and clichés! If any fandom can sustain the ridiculous (and believe me, I've put that to the test), it's this one.
