I finally got up to Midway in my rewatch of Stargate Atlantis, and I forgot how much the whole Ronon=Teal'c parallel bugged me. So I ended up doing this instead of paying attention? Also did you know the season five DVDs (at least my region 4 ones) misspell Ronon's name as Ronan? TRUE STORY. Official packaging, y'all.

Wow! I think I noticed the Teal'c/Teyla parallels early on, but I never really thought about Ronon and Vala like that. Oh, now I'm depressed they never hung out. (Although Vala probably wouldn't have given him back.)

I think Jason Momoa identifies as Native Hawaiian, though, not black.

Right, of course, sorry about that! I actually did know that, I don't know why it escaped me as I was typing it up. I've edited it now.

I would have loved Ronon and Vala hanging out together. Just imagine all the trouble they could have gotten into! Sometimes I think about all the awesome crossover potential and am sad we didn't get more of it.
