Sha la la la
Firstly: An apology to everyone who's still waiting on feedback from me. I have five stories I still need to leave feedback for, and they should all be done by the end of today :)
Secondly: I have a couple of meta-y posts still percolating in my head, and I'm still trying to finish off a bunch of ficlets; but I just can't help myself, so a fic + meta meme.
Comment with a pairing from any fandom I'm familiar with (a list can be found in my intro post). I'll talk for at least a hundred words about the pairing, and promise to be as honest and diplomatic as possible. Feel free to comment with pairings I like, pairings I hate, pairings I've never heard of, OT3s and more. As a bonus, I'll include a fic snippet for each pairing (romance not guaranteed); if there's a scenario in particular you'd like to see, just let me know.

Ron/Draco
This should be interesting! :D

I'm definitely not a slasher, so I can't say I've paid too much attention to the interactions between these two characters in canon, and I'm completely unfamiliar with them as far as fandom/fanfiction. It is an interesting pairing, however; I've always been a fan of antagonistic pairings, and considering their relationship in canon, you've got the perfect setup for anything from angsty, forbidden love to passionate hatesex, to post-war conciliatory fluff.
I think in this pairing, there's a lot more possibility to show a stronger, more dominant Ron than we often see alongside Harry. Given a chance to form a relationship – any kind of relationship – with Draco that doesn't centre around Harry, I think it'd be interesting to be able to flesh out Ron's character, and to let him deal with his own issues with Draco that don't involve Harry or his destiny. I also think there would be the opportunity to create a more intellectually antagonistic relationship between Ron and Draco than between, say, Harry and Draco; after all, we already know that Ron is fairly good at wizard's chess, and Slytherins are supposedly all about the plotting and intrigue, so I'd love to see that played out as a kind of metaphor within their relationship.
Emnity, Ron/Draco, PG-13
"Never picked you as one for the Dark Arts."
Ron turned around at the sound of the voice, though he didn't have to look to know who it belonged to.
"What's the matter? Sick of Potter getting all the attention? Going to curse him out of the picture so you can be the hero for a change?"
"Sod off, Malfoy." Ron dropped the book he had been flicking through; it didn't have what he wanted, anyway, and he'd rather give up than have to share a room with Malfoy for any longer than he had to.
"Or are you thinking about turning to our side? Good idea, but we don't accept blood traitors."
With each word, Malfoy had taken a step closer; now he was halfway across the room towards Ron, who was trying desperately to remind himself that they were in the restricted section, it wouldn't do to be caught, and anyway, he could hit Malfoy later.
"You're going to lose, you know."
Six words, spoken barely above a whisper, were almost enough to set Ron off.. Malfoy was even closer now; Ron could have reached out and touched him, if he'd wanted to.
He didn't.
"If you really believe that, you haven't thought far enough ahead."
Veronica/Logan/Lilly
I really love the idea of this pairing. It has the potential to be dark and twisted and even romantic, all at the same time. In the show, we've seen Logan/Lilly and Lilly/Veronica, and I'm always up for some femmeslash and threesomes, so it definitely hits my buttons. I've seen it written pre-series and AU, usually with Lilly as the instigator, and I think it appeals to people because it manages to merge what was with what is; and, for Logan/Veronica shippers, shows them coming together in a different way, and hints that the potential for the pairing was always there, even before they got together or if things had turned out differently. As far as canon goes, too, it manages to resolve the obvious tension between Logan's desire to from a new relationship with Veronica, with his lingering feelings for Lilly and guilt over moving on.
Manifest, Logan/Veronica/Lilly, PG-13
"That was some kiss."
"Lilly?" Veronica turned, heart racing; before her, Lilly sat on the bed, a faint smile playing across her features.
"If I'd have known he was your type, we could have had a lot more fun."
Under the weight of Lilly's gaze, Veronica felt herself flush; as she opened her mouth to stammer out a response, Lilly laughed.
"Relax, Veronica. I'm not here to haunt you for stealing my boyfriend. I'm dead, remember?"
Veronica couldn't help it. "Why are you here?"
Lilly shrugged. "I've got nowhere else to be. Besides" – she pouted a little – "I missed you."

I'm going to go with Michael/Lindsay, Arrested Development!

One of the things I love about the pairing is the way that, despite not actually being twins, Michael and Lindsay seem to get one another, and to share a bond that isn't necessarily echoed by the rest of their family. (They finish each other's sandwiches.) We know that, as of the pilot, they hadn't spoken in a year (which seems to hurt Michael, and make Lindsay feel guilty), but despite that, he appears to have a faith in her that he doesn't have in GOB, Buster, or his parents; he always expects better of her, and I think that speaks volumes about their relationship. And then, of course, there's the finale, which has Lindsay climbing on top of Michael and publicly announcing her intention to marry him, which is always fun; I really would have loved to see where the show went with their relationship, had it been renewed.
We Could Do The Tango, Michael/Lindsay, R
"You're getting married tomorrow."
It's almost a question; after a minute, reluctantly, Michael looks up.
"Yep."
"You're missing your bachelor party."
Michael shrugs. "It's not really my party. I think Gob just sees it as an excuse to hire a bunch of strippers on company money."
Lindsay almost laughs. "Isn't that what a bachelor party is supposed to be?"
He gets up from the bed, awkwardly; she shuts the door behind her.
"It's supposed to be about saying goodbye."
It only takes him a few steps to reach her; before Lindsay knows it, his hands are in her hair, his body pressed against her, his lips brushing hers.
In the second it takes her to react, she expects him to move, to leave, to stop. In her mind's eye, she sees him step back, hears him apologise, say he never meant it; she wishes him luck, and he nods silently, and she leaves the door ajar as she goes back to her old room. Only, when she kisses him back, parting her lips slightly as she moves into him, he's still kissing her, and when his tongue meets hers his hands tighten, and she reaches for the buttons on his shirt.
She thinks she hears his breath catch as she pushes his shirt over his shoulders, and somehow his hands find their own way down to her top, sliding against her stomach, and she pulls away from him only long enough to pull it over her head before she's pressed against him again, her hands on his back while his flick at the hem of her skirt, skitting across her thigh to the edge of her underwear. He pulls back; his lips are red, his cheeks flushed, and she thinks, I did that. His other hand reaches up to tug at her underwear, and she steps out of them a moment before he pulls her towards him, hand fumbling at his fly, and she helps him out as he pushes her back up against the wall.
She lets out a gasp as he enters her, jerkily; runs her hands through his hair as she leans her head back against the wall. His lips are on her throat as he moves, breathing heavily, and Lindsay doesn't know whether to laugh or cry or scream as she comes, moments before him.
They stand there for a few seconds; long enough to catch their breath. Not long enough to change what comes after.
She's surprised when he kisses her - soft, almost brotherly, on the lips. She smiles, and he smiles back, and she bites back a crude remark about how he got his bachelor party anyway.
She slips her clothes back on, and they don't speak as she opens the door; there's really nothing left to say. At least, not in any way that she can say it.
