I HAVE INTERNET AGAIN!!!!!!! Long story short, our phone line went down and we've been internet-less for like a week and a half, and since I can't check livejournal/twitter/tumblr/etc. at work I've basically been DYING. And apparently this week was the week when I REALLY, REALLY NEEDED internet, between needing to register for work seminars and ficathon signups and porn battle and trying to set up a new phone that, spoiler, WON'T EVEN TURN ON WITHOUT INTERNET ACCESS, so. Also it was like a million degrees without air conditioning, which we of course do not have, and I just finished the second week of my new job and it's been SUPER HECTIC and so the past fortnight has just gone by in this massive blur and HOW ARE YOU WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING I MISSED YOU GUYS.

I'm trying to catch up on everything I've missed at the moment, except I also have a hundred things to plan for next week and it's already Sunday afternoon and ugh. HOW DO I THINGS. I only got halfway through watching Festivids and I STILL HAVE UNREAD YULETIDE FICS OPEN IN TABS and now I have a million things to catch up on and I still need to fill in my placeholder letter from over a week ago that I hastily posted with my phone and I'M SORRY IF YOU'RE MY ASSIGNED AUTHOR, IT'S SUPER HIGH ON MY LIST OF THINGS TO DO SO WATCH THIS SPACE. (Or that space. You know. Whatever.)

SO SCOTT MIGHT BEAT STILES IN THE FMM PRELIMS? I MIGHT ACTUALLY CHANGE MY VOTE FROM LYDIA FOR THAT, NGL. HIS FACE <3

(I have to laugh, though, because FMM is never even a little bit representative of fandom's actual tastes, like, Jo is currently winning the Supernatural bracket, and I mean, she is my actual favourite, but no.)

I ... started writing my yuletide assignment the day I got it? I started writing my yuletide assignment the day I got it. I don't even know who I am anymore.

I feel like I must have the easiest, most low-stress yuletide assignment ever. It almost makes me feel like I'm doing it wrong.

I also finished off a long (long, long) overdue auction fic. After writing, like, three fics all year. TURNS OUT I CAN STILL WRITE THINGS, WHO KNEW?

I have had the hardest time trying to write lately, ugh, I swear I used to be able to do this. (The most I've managed lately was about 800 words for the porn battle, and even then I could only write part of a fic.) But! I am super excited about upcoming writing things! First I got my assignment for rarewomen, which is amazing and so is my recipient, basically my biggest problem there is deciding what [redacted] to write, there are so many great choices and my recipient gave options for basically everything I would want to write BUT I CAN'T WRITE ALL OF THEM I'M PRETTY SURE I HAVE TO MAKE A DECISION.

And then there was fandom_helps. Where I won things! And the person who won me wants me to write PRINCESS PROTECTION PROGRAM, YOU GUYS I TOTALLY GOT THIS. Disney backslide: Totally in progress. And I know I watched it on New Years but OOPS, I THINK IT'S TIME TO REWATCH ALREADY ONLY FOR FIC PURPOSES OBVIOUSLY, UGH MY LIFE IS SO HARD. Maybe this time without the drinking game?

... Oh, who am I kidding, the only thing better than princessing it up is drunk princessing it up, THE REST OF MY DAY IS TOTALLY SORTED.

My yuletide fic is finished and uploaded (\0/), and I'm still working on my festivids assignment - I was having source issues a while back, but they're all sorted now, if somewhat imperfectly. And I know I owe all kinds of things to a bunch of people, so - that might happen? IDK, I've been away a long time, you guys, I've almost forgotten what it's like to actually participate in fandom.

In other news, I got a Wii for my birthday, and it's SO MUCH FUN OMG. It's red and it's called Cara, and I ♥ it.

I know you guys have all seen this, but I'm boosting the signal anyway: help_haiti.
