My irrationally bad mood is over, yay. Although, it's 4am and I've been up for about five hours, so when I say my sleeping patterns are screwed up, I mean they're nonexistent.
Jeremy and I went to the Melbourne show last weekend, though, which was a lot of fun. We went on rides (including the spinny swingy ride, which I love), got showbags, saw baby animals, ate awesomely disgusting food, and won stuffed animals - I got a lizard called Mohinder, which is way cute.
I really have to start writing again - fanfic and original fiction. I have a (thankfully short) half-finished Gilmore Girls WIP sitting on my fic journal, which I feel massively guilty about, considering the first (and only other) WIP I've ever done had 18 chapters posted start to finish within about three weeks. Oops. And I never got around to posting my
femgenficathon fic, even though it was finished months ago, because I wrote it out longhand and still haven't typed it up. Double Oops.
I'm actually excited about the new season of TV, even if it exists only via my computer; I have no idea where Australian TV is up to, but I really don't watch it, anyway - thank god for the internet. I have, like, a million DVDs I have to buy, too, but I'll probably have to wait until my birthday.
New shows I'm watching: Chuck, Reaper, Pushing Daisies, Moonlight, Private Practice. I absolutely love Chuck - if you can accept the premise (which is a big if for a lot of people), it's definitely worth checking out, especially if you enjoyed The O.C. (particularly season four) or are an Adam Baldwin fan. Also, Captain Awesome is awesome. Moonlight, I expected to hate, but it ended up surprising me - and the whole falling in love with a guy who saved you as a child and hasn't aged a day? Is there any other kind of Sophia Myles shippiness? I totally want to write Doctor/Reinette fic now. Disappointed that Alex O'Loughlin isn't actually Bon Scott's son, though :P
Returning shows I'm watching: Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, Friday Night Lights. I'm glad Addison got her own show (though I'd be happier if PP were a little better), but sad she's no longer on GA. Glad Sloan is staying, though. Still not sure how I feel about Lexie, and I'm on the fence about Burke's departure - I really did like his character, and I loved Burke/Cristina, but I'm glad Isaiah Washington was fired, because he's a douche.
Shows I'm still catching up on: Supernatural, Smallville, Scrubs, Ugly Betty, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who, One Tree Hill (guilty pleasure). I started watching SGA a few days ago purely for Joe Flanigan, and since there's been plenty of him, I'm not disappointed. I never watched SG1, though I saw the movie a million years ago. I'm not sure I like Elizbeth Weir; apparently, Jessica Steen played her first, and I think I might have liked her a lot better than Torri Higginson, who reminds me of a less awesome Sigourney Weaver. Still - Joe Flanigan.
Also, my internets are broken, which makes me sad/frustrated.
