TV catch up post, part one

Gossip Girl: 2-6 New Haven Can Wait

I'm really glad Blair and Serena are friends again - partly because I like it when Blair is all cool and bitchy and superior and not all frantic and desperate, but mostly because they are SO COMPLETELY IN LOVE. With the hand-holding! And the headband! And them not wanting to be separated, ever, because long distance relationships never work. Also, Chuck vs the secret society was made of win. He owns them. And Nate is now mad at him, even though Chuck totally didn't sell him out, and apparently is now BFF with Dan. Um, WTF? Very questionable life choices, Nate.

Also, Rufus/Lily is still hot.

Greek: 2-8 The Popular Vote

Poor Michael :( I really did like him (Leo!! &hearts), but I totally ship Calvin/Heath, so I can't be totally disappointed about this development. I am glad Calvin confessed, even if it was clear he didn't do so out of guilt so much as because he was hoping it would do the dirty work for him.

I don't really care about Rusty, and I never particularly cared about Jen K, so, whatever.

I love Max so much. Cool and accurate constellations!

And, in major news: President Ashleigh! Okay, so. I feel bad for Casey that she lost, but I liked what Rebecca told her - that it's great that she had so many ideas for the house, but she didn't actually tell anyone about them. I mean, it's harsh that she had to learn that lesson now, when the elections are over and she missed her final shot, but if she really is planning on going into politics after she graduates, it's definitely a lesson she needed to learn. And it's not like all her ideas have to go to waste - if she really feels that strongly about something, I'm sure Ash would be more than happy to hear her out. Also, given that Ashleigh is my absolute favourite character, I can't say I'm at all unhappy with the outcome of the election - anything that means more screen time and bigger storylines for Ash definitely gets my vote.

The one thing I didn't like was Evan and Frannie at the end; I'm really not a fan of unrelenting uber-bitch Frannie, and I was really hoping her bid for power would be over with the elections. If she tries to hurt Ashleigh, I will end her.

Grey's Anatomy: 5-4 Brave New World

Wow, George is a dick. Way to totally forget about your "best friend" once you don't need her any more.

More Alex/Izzie, yay :) I was totally expecting angry hate!kissing, but throwing things is good, too.

So, Callie and Erica aren't actually gay, and they've never actually had sex with women, and they aren't really sure they want to have sex with women now, but they're okay with maybe talking about touching each other's breasts? Good to know. Callie is lucky she's so damn hot. Her conversations with Bailey, however, were awesome.

How I Met Your Mother: 4-3 I Heart NJ & 4-4 Intervention

So Ted's moving to New Jersey, Robin's moving to Japan, and Marshall and Lily are moving to DowSiTrePla. But they still have the apartment. And Robin's going to be living there by Ted's next birthday. Awesome episodes, and I loved the flash forward at the end - so much spec! Lily is totally pregnant, and I wouldn't be surprised if Barney and Robin are together (fingers crossed!); still no definite answer on whether Stella is Ted's baby mama. I like her, so I kinda hope she is.

The Office: 5-3 Baby Shower

This episode was actually better on rewatch, probably because I knew what to expect - lots of Michael, Jan, and Holly, depressing voice mail-y Jim/Pam, and no Ryan/Kelly to speak of. The closest we got was him walking into the conference room behind her - which, me being both obsessed and pretty much resigned to their storyline existing almost entirely in deleted scenes and my own imagination, I still got excited about.

I feel like I'm in the minority when I say I don't really care for Holly; I mean, she's kind of adorable, and she and Michael are cute together, but I really don't care about episodes focusing on her. (Or Michael, if it comes to that.) I want my ensemble show back! With Jim and Pam in the same room. And Ryan and Kelly with lines. Preferably together, but I'll take what I can get. In the meantime, I'll keep looking forward to new episodes, and hope that it doesn't turn into the Michael And Holly (And The People They Work With) Show.

One Tree Hill: 6-6 Choosing My Own Way Of Life

Why are Brooke and Millicent not dating? I mean, okay, there's the supposed heterosexuality and long-distance boyfriend, but, whatever. Because Millicent loves Brooke, and Brooke loves Millicent, and they are so absolutely adorable and perfect for each other.

Speaking of long-distance boyfriends - Mouth is coming back? Sigh. I mean, I used to love him, but now, I really can't stand him. Maybe this season he'll be better? Lucas' book tour was suitably humiliating, though (that's what you get for being a ginormous douche!), so there's that.

I'm okay with Owen coming back, but not overly invested one way or another. That bouncy basketball thing looks fun, though. And Jamie on Team Brooke! I love that kid.

Privileged: 1-5 All About Friends And Family

I really liked the first half of the episode, was so-so about the second; I loved seeing Megan and Lily take strides towards making up and being sisters again, but of course it couldn't last. I was glad, though, that Lily actually did take the bracelet, rather than Megan having accused her unfairly - she definitely has some hang-ups about their relationship she really needs to sit down and have a look at, but deep down, she's right when she says she knows her sister. Also, I felt bad for Charlie - "I missed my window, didn't I?" - but him fighting with Will was kind of awesome. And Marco - "look at me, squeezing limes." ♥ ♥
