Fic journals, and the disuse thereof

Up until now, I've posted all my fics to [livejournal.com profile] amidalashari, and kept this journal solely for personal/fandom posts. This was mostly for organisation and tagging, and while it's helped in those areas, it's also been a little frustrating having to log in and out of my accounts in order to post fic/post journal entries/respond to comments, etc. So, from now on I've decided to keep everything in one place, at this journal.

All the fics I've already posted will stay at [livejournal.com profile] amidalashari; I haven't decided whether I'm going to bother backdating posts and moving everything over here, but that journal will stay up, whatever I end up doing.

I'm also thinking of changing my username, but that will have to wait for a little bit (mostly until I can afford it).

Can you change it to a community? That way you can have close membership (so only you could post, obviously) And you wouldn't have to log in and out to post? I'm not sure how possible this is.

You can only change personal journals into communities if they haven't been posted in :( It would have been nice to be able do that, but oh well.

Ugh what a bummer. You'd think LJ would have figured out a way around that now, lol .

There are a lot of things you'd think LJ would have figured out by now, unfortunately. What I wouldn't give to be able to merge journals ...
