I wish I was a mermaid and was friends with all the fish

So, apparently all I needed to get me to start writing fic again was a ridiculous Canadian cop show? IDEK, I am not complaining. Anyway, I wrote seven fics in three fandoms (Rookie Blue, Stargate Atlantis, and Everwood), around 21,000 words in total. (In comparison: I posted four fics in the previous six months, most of which were written way before that.)


Things You Can't Learn From Books (Everwood - Ephram/Madison - R - 1661 words) It's not exactly guaranteed privacy, but it's been a while since they've seen anyone, so he's not that surprised when Madison kisses him. Well, maybe a little. Spoilers up to episode 2:12 - Controlling Interest.

Observe And Report (Rookie Blue - Dov/Gail - R - 1249 words) Maybe they make out a little while they're on surveillance. Spoilers up to episode 1:13 - Takedown.

Then All That You Built Will Come Tumbling Down (Rookie Blue - Dov/Gail - R - 2065 words) Dov, Gail, and horses. (It's not as romantic as he'd like it to be.) Spoilers up to episode 2:9 - Brotherhood.


Spies Like Us (Stargate Atlantis - John/Teyla - R - 4359 words) Lorne and his team are compromised, and it's up to John and Teyla to rescue them.


I also posted a fanmix and two picspams (both Rookie Blue, obviously). All while being super busy this month! So basically: ROOKIE BLUE, NEVER LEAVE ME.

Things I meant To Do In The Past Ten Days: Write my femslash10 assignment. Finish the Tin Man space AU. Catch up on the multitude of fics I owe or have been meaning to write. Write lots of fic for Porn Battle X.

Things I have Actually Done In The Past Ten Days: Started my femslash10 assignment. Thought about writing the Tin Man Space AU. Procrastinated on the multitude of fics I owe or have been meaning to write. Flirted with writing new fandoms for the porn battle. Watched way too much TV.

I rewatched Tin Man, and then I found the entire series of Life on sale really cheap, so I figured I might as well check it out. And it's so good! I'm not a huge procedural fan in general, but I <3 Life. Charlie and Dani! AND TED/OLIVIA, OTP!!!! And then I figured, I'd been watching Neal McDonough and Damian Lewis, so I might as well watch Band of Brothers? So I did, and it was amazing also; I loved just about everyone in it, but Speirs is totally my favourite. HE IS CRAZY AWESOME OKAY, AT FIRST HE IS JUST CRAZY AND THEN HE IS AWESOME. IDEC IF HE IS DAN HUMPHREY'S LAME 90'S DAD. Also, I have no Band of Brothers icons, but I have this one! IT IS TOTALLY RELEVANT.

And then, I guess I was missing Life (partners! ♥), so I started watching In Plain Sight. And I just finished watching Let's Get It Ahn, ( which was pretty much the greatest episode ever )

Also, I guess I started watching Everwood? It's so earnest and heartfelt and wholesomely progressive that it almost hurts, but I kind of love it anyway. And Amy. (Her ulterior motive is world domination! Nicely played, Emily VanCamp.)
