1) My paid account expired, oh noes! I might have to think about renewing it as a birthday present to myself - I know I can't really afford it, but I really don't want to lose my icons :(

2) My birthday is in less than a week! I think I'm officially having one of those "what the hell am I doing with my life?" moments, because, yeesh. Why can't I magically know what I want to do when I grow up? (And why can't that day be very far in the future?)

Written for svgurl for the 12days_of_clois exchange, for the prompt "Clark and Lois previously avoiding their feelings and are forced to confront it; maybe they're trapped in a small space or something?" Which I basically used as an excuse to unload a bunch of cliches, because, hey, it's Smallville. And, okay, I may have stolen the 'posing as a temp' thing from an episode of Prison Break, but it makes me happy, and Lisa Lawson was a minor recurring character on Greek, which, again. It's Smallville, it can be crack if I say it is.

4) Progress is being made on the Sweet Charity fic. Which is due on my birthday, so I really want to get it finished early so I can relax and get wasted do nothing.

5) I have another new show! You guys, if you like fantasy shows at all, you should totally go watch Legend of the Seeker. It's not quite as crack-tastic as Merlin (well, not yet - it's produced by Sam Raimi, so it's really only a matter of time), but it's pretty and awesome and kind of epic in a cheesy sort of way. It's based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth novels, which I've never read, but it's perfect stock fantasy fare, and I really love Richard already. And it's got shippiness, and Bruce Spence, and Jay Laga'aia (who has serious thoughts on Play School, and is made of awesome), and if you ever watched Xena or Hercules, you should definitely check it out, because it's a lot of fun.

Oh, and if you need more convincing (or even if you don't), you should definitely watch ladymajavader's vid I Love Rockin' Rahl, which is what convinced me to have a look at the show in the first place. Seriously shiny!

So, what happened was this: I may have, sort of accidentally, started watching Supernatural. Well. A while ago I got season one really cheaply on sale, and I figured I should probably check out this show everyone was so crazy about. And I kinda expected to fall in love with it and everything, because I get fannish about stuff really easily, but it didn't really do anything for me. But then talumin rented season two, and then he rented season three, and before I knew it, I was watching season four and now I'm all caught up. And ... I think I like it. Like, I wouldn't say I'm in SPN fandom or anything, mostly because I'm not into slash and I don't really care about Sam and Dean's epic angsty brotherly love (yeah, I know - what show am I watching?), and I liked season three way better than seasons one and two, but I like Dean, and I like Jo and Ellen and Bela and Ruby and John and Mary and Bobby and, okay, Sam, and so I guess I watch it now. Anyway.

2) Caught up on watching The Office, and, ♥. I do love Jim and Pam, but I've fallen completely head over heels for Ryan/Kelly. I just - I really don't know. But they are currently one of my very favourite ships, and I love them to death. ( Season five spoilers + speculation )

3) remixthedrabble is currently open for sign ups! Sign up to be a remixee (to have your fics remixed) here, or to be a remixer (to remix someone else's fics) here, or both. I'm really looking forward to it, especially because, even though I have a million things to do at the moment, it's only a drabble or ficlet. Plus, remixes!

4) Trying to get as much as I can done before November (I'll be in New Zealand for a week to visit my mum, and then in Byron Bay for my dad's wedding), and work out what I can do now vs what I can take with me to do while I'm over there. Also, I'm finally writing stuff again, even if so far it's mainly ficlets/drabbles - I have my Sweet Charity fic to work on, plus a bunch of belated gift fics and a couple of late ficathon entries, but right now, I'm kind of zen about it; I know I'll finish what I have to, but I'm not giving myself a hard time about working on other things instead. Because, really, fandom is supposed to be fun, and if I start stressing I'm more likely to burn myself out than anything else. So, happy place.
